Hopkinton Rhode Island Police Department posted on their public Facebook page on January 6th 2025, “Please join us in welcoming our newest officer, Officer Olivia Frenze.Ofc. Frenze was sworn in tonight at the Town Council meeting. Following her 20-week training at the Rhode Island Municipal Police Training Academy, she will have an additional 12 weeks of field training on various shifts. Congratulations and welcome, Ofc. Frenze.” and accompanied the comment with a swearing in picture with their new officer.
Hours later, after I shared that photo and my criticism on my social media, the Hopkinton police turned the comments off for that picture only.

This is a massive concern to anyone who respects the role of a police officer and their personal integrity. Why, if the town of Hopkinton, so proudly boasted their new DEI hire, did they turn the comments off only after receiving public scrutiny? Well, I asked them and the response they gave me was damning, “Turning off comments was not an attempt to avoid feedback or criticism. It was done to prevent personal attacks and to keep the conversation respectful. We value public input and take our responsibility to the community seriously.”

How can the public begin to trust the actions of a police officer if from the very moment of her swearing it, her department is already covering for her? Where is the transparency? Good luck trying to get a reply, as the Hopkinton Police Department has no official email to ask this. I did, however, reach out to the city council for a response and am waiting for a reply. I voiced a very strong concern when I asked why they hired Officer Frenze, when it seems she was arrested for domestic battery in 2020 https://www.thewesterlysun.com/police-logs-monday-july-6-2020/article_382752d0-bfcc-11ea-a11b-1f9d360f66eb.html

The people of Hopkinton deserve to know why a small, physically inferior female with an alleged criminal past was hired and what qualified male(s) were rejected all so the town of Hopkinton could fill it’s DEI agenda.
This insanity needs to stop. DEI and the 30×30 initiative is going to get more American citizens and cops hurt or killed.
