How is the nation supposed to view this new generation of cops who spend more time focused on their social media and the persona they created, verses the citizens they swore an oath to?
I first discovered Officer Alexandra Lizzi when she had a substantial social media account on TikTok and made her entire account public exploits and skits of her in uniform, lip synching, dancing and going over product endorsements and not ever displaying the characteristics or integrity that I would want to see as a police officer who worked on my streets.
I am thankful that Officer Alexandra Lizzi works for Ross Township PA and not where I live.
The Ross Township police administration is aware of Officer Lizzi’s online behavior and representative of their agency, yet they have seemingly offered no corrective guidance to help Officer Lizzi to grow and become the standard of who we want enforcing our laws or ensuring our public trust.
Until this generation of TikTok Cop is grown out or cut out like a cancer, I fear that law enforcement will continue to suffer and spiral out of control and more citizens will be abused, hurt or killed at the hands of children who are paying more attention to how many likes and comments they get and less attention to The Constitution or the training they should be doing.
