Female Cop with Taser leads to Deadly Confrontation with Armed Suspect at Dollar Tree

Phoenix police have released dramatic body camera footage showing a chaotic confrontation with an armed and reportedly impaired man at a Dollar Tree store on October 20. The encounter, which began as a trespassing call, escalated into a violent struggle, ending with officers deploying Tasers and ultimately fatally shooting the suspect.

The incident began just before 8 p.m. when Phoenix police responded to a 911 call reporting a man wielding a knife and terrorizing shoppers at a Dollar Tree store, according to KPHO-TV. Witnesses described the suspect as appearing impaired and erratic.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the man, who initially walked away from them and climbed on top of a built-in freezer inside the store. Body camera footage shows officers repeatedly ordering the man to come down. He eventually complied but attempted to flee when officers moved to detain him.
